Arkadelphia's Parks and Recreation Department manages the many parks and facilities within the city and offers a wide variety of programs and activities for the community.
The City of Arkadelphia is located at the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains in Clark County, Arkansas, and has a population of 10,714. The community is located on Interstate 30 approximately halfway between Little Rock and Texarkana, and also on Highway 7 approximately 35 miles from Hot Springs. Coming from Texarkana: Take exit 73 (Arkadelphia exit) and stay to the right. Turn left at the third stop light. This is 26th street. ( Landmark at the red light on your right is Wal-Greens. Another land mark across from the redlight Southern Bancorp Branch Bank.) Go approximately 1 and ½ miles on 26th street. You will pass the Arkadelphia Aquatic Park and go through a residential subdivision. 26th street will end. Turn right on Country Club Road. Go 1/10 of a mile and turn left at the apartments. There is a white sign that says Sports Complex. Go down big hill and travel ½ mile and you will come to the Sports Complex.
Coming From Little Rock: take exit 78 (Caddo Valley Exit) turn left and go under the interstate bridge. Travel approximately 5 miles on highway 7 to Arkadelphia. At top of the hill turn right onto Country Club Road at Pizza Hut. Travel approximately one mile turn (go past car wash and apartments) turn right at the white sign that says Sports Complex. Go down big hill and travel ½ mile and you will come to the Sports Complex.
The Arkadelphia Youth Sports Complex is located on Thompson Road (off of Country Club Road). It is a wonderful facility that currently, features Soccer and Baseball fields, several practice fields, a 3.5 acre fishing pond, concession stands, and restroom facilities.
